LIFE SCIENCE INVESTMENTS

Project summary

The primary role of the Graduate Intern will be to support the US investment team through landscaping thematic investment areas, investment due diligence, and deal flow administration. Additional activities include screening of new companies, participating in global team meetings, as well as various ad hoc tasks. The role will provide exposure to a broad range of verticals including drug development, diagnostics, and healthcare services.

RESponsibility

• Market landscaping across thematic areas, including mapping out a space, identifying key unmet needs, and identifying current (incumbents) and novel solutions (new companies/potential investments).

• Conducting financial analysis to assess new deal opportunities and strategic initiatives at existing portfolio companies.

• Assisting in due diligence processes on new investment opportunities.

• Preparing investment materials and internal memoranda on potential and existing investments.

• Supporting management of team CRM systems and vendor platforms.

About the candidate

Pluses

Has a background in Biological Sciences, but with a strong and demonstrable desire to work in the world of finance and business. Studying Mammalian Biology or Genetics is preferred. Scientific acumen is a must-have baseline, but investments operate first in the language of finance.
