The Opportunity

Students on the Pivotal bioVenture Investment team function as integral members of an experienced professional deal team. Specific responsibilities include:

working with senior members of the investment team with identifying, structuring, negotiating, performing due diligence (including financial analysis), and executing investment opportunities that may be acquired (or divested) by the investment funds sponsored by the Company and its affiliates, as well as assisting senior members of the investment team with monitoring, ongoing evaluation, and management of investments held by the investment funds sponsored by the Company and its affiliates as well as the underlying portfolio companies.

The ideal candidate

Interns who join the Pivotal bioVenture Investment team possess a strong record of academic achievement at the undergraduate level from a leading college or university. Successful candidates will have a proven track record of leadership skills, outstanding academic achievements, and extra-curricular honors.
While we prefer candidates who have an interest and/or understanding of economics, accounting, and/or corporate finance, biology, and science - majoring in these fields is not a requirement.
Prior internship and/or work experience in venture capital, finance, biotechnology, and science fields are a plus/not a requirement.

The Intern position requires highly motivated, detail-oriented individuals with strong analytical and communication skills. Interns must be able to think quickly and will work in a fast-paced environment. Successful candidates must have a proven track record of leadership skills.
