About the start-up

ResVita Bio seeks to bring life-changing advancements to the treatment of skin diseases. Inflammatory skin diseases cause effects ranging from disruptive to destructive. Today's treatments generally rely on outdated topical corticosteroids with damaging side effects and poor efficacy.

ResVita Bio will revitalize the skin through engineered probiotics that continuously deliver therapies that can ease inflammation, rebuild the damaged tissue, and remove harmful bacteria. And it will do all of these things simultaneously as a simple topical moisturizer.

The Opportunity

The candidate will work with metabolic engineers and immunologists to develop bacterial strains engineered to continuously produce therapies. The intern will be involved in the entire design-build-test-learn cycle, as we design our constructs, build our strains, test in vitro and in vivo, and learn through production yields and immunological outcomes.

Primary responsibilities

Genetic engineering, biochemical analysis (protein purification), in vitro assays, media engineering, & formulation engineering.

About you

We are looking for those with metabolic microbial engineering experience. Extensive cloning experience is a must, and media engineering, protein purification would be a benefit.
